Carme Pinós Awarded the 2016 Berkeley-Rupp Prize

Carme Pinós believes that architecture should act as a trigger for relationships, a means of encouraging encounters and dialogs that create human connection. Her award-winning work spans diverse contexts, programs and scales in Europe and Latin America — from urban landscapes, office towers, cultural and sports centers, and educational institutions to public housing and furniture design. As the 2016 recipient of the Berkeley-Rupp Professorship and Prize, Carme Pinós is honored for her dedication to community, her support of women-led economic development, and her outstanding design connecting people to the poetry of place.
